Become an integral part of an industry leader in user experience, website design, and content management system implementation. Based in McLean, VA, NavigationArts is looking for those on the cutting edge of their field and with extensive experience in the industry.

This role would support a team of java programmers in development of a new Java/Spring implementation at a marquee client in the Washington D.C. area. The candidate must possess strong knowledge and implementation experience of the Spring Framework/MVC, JSP and Tomcat.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be proficient in both Java software development and COTS integration in a J2EE environment.
• Applicant will be member of a fast moving development team. Previous success working in a team environment is required along with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Applicant must be a self starter/success focused individual, a person capable of taking high level requirements and drilling down to define the underlying user stories and delivering a working/maintainable solution.
• Applicant must have experience with Spring/Spring MVC, Tomcat, JDBC, and XML
• Application must have experience with Magnolia CMS. Other CMS experience is a plus.
• Applicant must have experience establishing a development environment (IDEs, installing open source web stack, Ant, Maven, Subversion)
• Qualifications for the applicant are a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or one the Engineering disciples, a minimum of 5 years applicable work experience

Competencies:

• Java, J2EE, JSP/Servlets, Magnolia CMS, SQL, Oracle, Spring/Spring MVC, Tomcat, JDBC, XML, Hibernate, Ant, Javascript/AJAX, UML
• Familiarity with any of the following technologies is a plus: XML, XSL, AJAX, JavaScript, SOAP, Web Services, PKI, and Digital Certificates.
